The issue of how to delay ejaculation during intercourse discussed in this post is not necessarily arising from a so-called “early ejaculation problem.” You might not have a premature ejaculation issue; you may just want to delay your ejaculation further in order to prolong intercourse. Some of my clients who attend my sex counseling group dream of being able to extend intercourse as long as they can completely satisfy their lover by giving her multiple orgasms. In many cases, this is absolutely the correct goal because some women expect to have that 2nd orgasm; the 2nd often gives her more satisfaction than the first one.
For some men, delaying ejaculation during intercourse is also a way to demonstrate their masculinity or manliness as well as to build their self pride of their extraordinary sexual performance in front of their lovers.

The techniques to delay ejaculation during intercourse can be just the same as the tricks to delay early ejaculation, but in many instances men need to make more efforts before they can prolong intercourse. One of the basic things they need to do first is to build better stamina, skills and mentality through training and exercises.

Here are two common techniques to delay ejaculation during intercourse in brief:

1. Controlling your PC muscles to delay ejaculation.

You can delay ejaculation during intercourse by flexing your PC muscles.
Flexing a PC muscle is just like holding urination.
However, you must be aware of the timing; you must know when to squeeze to delay ejaculation. In addition to that, you must also build your PC muscles, making them strong enough to hold back imminent ejaculation. Strengthening PC muscles can only be done through regular training and exercise.
Because of involuntary muscle contraction, especially your desire to ejaculate being so strong, squeezing weak PC muscles to hold back orgasm will be ineffective.

There are two stages where you should pay attention in using PC muscles during sex.
During the arousal phase, you should keep your PC muscles relaxed. A common mistake made by a majority of men is that they have already started flexing their PC muscles during this stage.
It is not recommended as doing so will actually even expedite ejaculation,
Instead, you should start flexing your PC muscles during the phase where you are feeling an urge to orgasm.

2. Breathing Techniques to delay ejaculation during intercourse.

Breathing techniques are very popularly used in Yoga training to calm down both mind and emotions. The technique is simply to breathe slowly in regular intervals.
During sex, you might not realize that your breathing is more rapid; with the increasing level of arousal and excitement, your heart pumps faster as well. As a result, your arousal rises very quickly and goes wild which eventually results in early ejaculation. This is where the breathing technique comes into play.

By breathing slowly and regularly you enable yourself to better control your excitement.
Unlike the use of perennial muscles to delay ejaculation where it is to be done when you are feeling the actual urge to ejaculate, controlling your breathing should be done from the initial stage of sex. The objective is to hold back your arousal from going up too quickly.
The way to perform breathing during intercourse is that you exhale when thrusting and you inhale when pulling.

However, since your thrusting motions nearly always outpaces your slow breathing, what you should do is breathe every five thrusts or so. The most important thing to remember during intercourse is to always maintain a slow and deep breathing pattern.

Unlike normal breathing, you need to breathe using your diaphragm just like in Yoga training. This will help you delay your ejaculation during intercourse.

Please bear in mind: the 2 above-mentioned techniques require some training and exercises prior to using them to effectively delay your ejaculation during intercourse.
